I love the typology of internet activity in this discussion. I finally watched Watson on Jeopardy. How boring! I hated the little results graphic at the bottom of the screen. Do people actually like this? Because I thought it took away the entire entertainment value of the game. Those split seconds, when you yell across the room the answer that may or may not be right, are the point of watching the show, at least for me.

Have you seen the movie version of “Up the Sandbox” starring Barbara Streisand? It features lots of dashikis, liquid eyeliner, and a transgendered Fidel Castro fantasy.
I was part of a movie club in college led by a grumpy women’s studies professor. I think she showed us this as a way to make us stop making such annoying comments about binary gender and essentialism.
